The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Jocelyn took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up greatsword and armor he uses now. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Actor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out
