When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. Nicholas was born on a far northern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Mortician. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
