History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Expand his business; and he wants revenge against drow

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing singing.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him.

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He prefers to wear grey pants and tee shirts. He has shaved his head bald. His ears are large.

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born in the east. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Layabout and was forced into it by his family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Description: This late middle aged man wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination and is in decent physical shape. His deerstalker hat is riddled with cuts and holes. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Adelard has worked very hard to control his curse. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and to be a slave trader again
