History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. John was born on a far northern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Mercenary. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hugh grew up listening to his father's many stories. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Hugh was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and nothing but the best is good enough for him
