History: He is a Slaad in disguise. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. During his travels, Gerard and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Gerard discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Gerard fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: His divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. After coming to the age of reason, Bertram took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland.
