Description: An older man who wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized violet coat, he is not a threatening figure. His hair is brown and very short. His eyes are hazel and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Shane hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. When Shane reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Hunter.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Description: This man stands a little under 5'5" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears a brown shirt, with a tan mid length shorts with tan tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them. He sports a long blonde beard, and similarly colored long hair. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Justin embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Justin and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he's repulsed by the pc

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Bertram was born the youngest of three triplets. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Description: He is an average looking eastern male in his early mid-life. He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with wide-brimmed hat. His long white hair reaches down to his waist. His blue eyes peer out from beneath his wide-brimmed white hat.

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he is wracked by social anxiety
