History: He was born in the north. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

He wears a feathered hat to cover his moderate length auburn hair. His eyes are gray and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roland was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and to settle down with his crush

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears well tailored suits and hats with beautiful decoration. He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society, and is pretty ugly. His red hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing singing.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Description: This slender man stands about 5'3". He dresses well, wearing yellow shirts, loose pants, and blazers most of the time. He sports a long chestnut beard, and similarly colored long hair. His fierce amber eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes orcs are coming to abduct people. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. At some point he was captured by orcs and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. His blonde hair, when down, is lengthy. His ears are large.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Sage arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Sage responsibilities is difficult; and further expansion of business
