Description: This man is very fat, and is dressed in earthy colors with a tan and green handkerchief worn on his right side. He sports a flattop hair cut. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.
Personality: Heward wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Ranger, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his singing with anyone who is interested.
History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Dyer and was forced into it by his family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a beer of some kind. He wears a grey cloak and cross-gartered white stockings, marred by beers. His chestnut hair is singed and shortened. His brown eyes are passionate and lively.
Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. He plays an instrument quite well.
History: Anselm hails from a village terrorized by goblins. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Description: He is a husky man, who sports black clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. His white hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His eyes are hazel and beady.
Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.
History: He got into the Marshal business at a young age. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Marshal hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 3 years.
Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Description: He is an exceptionally muscular looking southern young adult. He is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing green cape and mantle trimmed with soft violet waves gently in the breeze. Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. His white hair is cut short. His hazel eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, William was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.
