Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep grey leather and dull violet iron scale mail. He has shaved his head bald. His eyes are amber and catlike.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Born in the west to a Carpenter, Heward learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He worked as a nervous Carpenter and found it very stressful. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to reunite with his absent mother

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Mason. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Mason. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Mason responsibilities is difficult; and further expansion of business
