History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Lance alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Cartwright. He became a Cartwright soon after.
