History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Alex was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his poetry dream.
