Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Miles was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Chad alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.
