History: Born to a Spy, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He came across an abandoned tomb where he found a relic that called out to him. After picking it up he was cursed by unlife.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bertram is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born in a small island village. His parents enrolled him in a Barbarian school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.
