Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He is typically in his Unemployed uniform. His brown hair, when down, is lengthy. He tend to wears goggles to shield his eyes.
Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.
History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Hugh took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up greatsword and armor he uses now. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he is typically in his Bookbinder uniform. He has a long chestnut beard with little hanging trinkets. He tend to wears goggles to shield his eyes.
Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He takes great joy in being the best Bookbinder in town.
History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Manfred was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Bookbinder for hire.
Motivation: To be a Blacksmith again; and money/treasure

Description: A thin man, he clearly needs to put on some weight, but he still has a lot of muscle. He is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. His tied-back hair is golden. His ears are large.
Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Human culture. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.
History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Anselm fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west.

Description: His right thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He is wearing a perfectly clean shirt and pair of pants. His golden hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. He has hazel eyes and a pastel hat with a blue feather.
Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.
History: Godfrey was born with his mother's beautiful face. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Raymond is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.
History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His childhood dream was to be a Seamstress, but he was a colossal failure. He tends to his Shoemaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and wants to raise his children well
