History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Layabout for the past few years.

Description: He is an attractive man, lean and moderately muscular. He is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. With a patchy silver beard and wild silver hair. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: Chad hails from a village terrorized by giants. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He comes from a rich western family. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and to unite with his sister

Description: An imposing man with a heavy stainless steel prosthetic right hand, he is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. He keeps his brown hair in a flapper bob. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is cool and collected. He likes to make quips and puns whenever he does anything. He also makes a point to compliment his superiors and flatter them. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Odo fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
