Description: He wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 6'5" when asserting himself. He keeps his long red hair kept up in a rat tail. His violet eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.
Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.
History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Shane alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Description: This late middle aged man wears a black costume with the symbols of luck on his torso and is in decent physical shape. His auburn hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a butterfly scrunchie. His half smiles and green eyes are beguiling and draw you in.
Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Robert embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.
History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His first spouse was a Cartwright, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Apothecary and was forced into it by his family; and regain custody of his son

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Charles's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.
History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Charles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. The war was a terrible time for him, and John does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

Description: A pudgy man standing about 6'4" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He wears a black vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His brown leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his black boots flare out at the collars. His chestnut hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. He has a tattooed face.
Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.
History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ruler. He has achieved small success as a Ruler.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and many illithids want him driven away
