History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Raymond alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and meet up once more with his childhood friend
