History: Bernard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Gifted from a young age, Adelard studied abroad. Through the years after Adelard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Adelard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
