After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Hugh's homeland. Hugh decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and his religion dominates his actions
