The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Roland was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Kody was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Motivation: He is greedy.

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he usually wears his grey robe and has his club always slung over his shoulder. His white hair is braided into rings. His half smiles and gray eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. At some point he was captured by dire rats and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and revenge

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Jeweler responsibilities is difficult.
