History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Hunter arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after Gilbert was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Gilbert's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Theobald was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
