History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He tends to his Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Dean was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Dean's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
