History: Hugh hails from a village terrorized by giants. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was born in a small forest village. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Stableman work with an outfit from a few towns over. Stableman work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has achieved small success as a Stableman.
