Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and retire the richest man in the west

History: Born to a Carpenter, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gerald fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Aldous was born the youngest of three triplets. His first spouse was a Spice Merchant, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
