History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Personality: He is a Seamstress first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Roland lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roland was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
