History: Thorpe lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Tanner but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Tordek grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Tordek. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Enialis hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
