After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Wiggan is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He comes from a rich western family. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He is dressed in a clean blue cloak covering his clean studded leather. He sports a flattop hair cut. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Sammal lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gifted student he started as a Spice Merchant, but he got bored and became a Soapmaker. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Soapmaker responsibilities is difficult; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
