He claims to not be responsible.

History: Aelar lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Soapmaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He worked as a Soapmaker, and he later adopted a second daughter.
