He prefers to carry a crossbow, but if one is not available he will default to his nunchaku. He sports a long white beard, and similarly colored long hair. His violet eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Hobart hails from a village terrorized by illithids. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and a deep hatred of illithids
