Personality: He is a Apothecary first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.
History: Balimaar was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he has money and likes to spend it

Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over his head. His white hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. He has several tiny jet earrings on each ear.
Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes giants are coming to abduct people. He is harsh and unforgiving.
History: He was raised in a desert tribe. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

Description: This southern man wears a brown tunic with black highlights, and long violet pants that bunch up around his shoes. His clothes are grease stained in places. His silver hair is braided into rings. His eyes are likewise hazel.
Personality: He exudes charisma. He is a tour de force of persuasion. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.
History: Foxilon hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Foxilon has worked very hard to control his curse. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Foxilon was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.
Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids.

Description: He is a man of bearing and well nourished. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. He is bald on top and has large golden tufts of hair around his ears. His green eyes are slightly larger than normal.
Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Dharg will drive conversation. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.
History: Born in the south to a Bookbinder, Dharg learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Dharg alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult; and wants to open a new tavern
