His first spouse was a Map Maker, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. After a long history of fighting, Gimble and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
