History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Chem grew up listening to his father's many stories. Chem abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Chem was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: Frederick hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Personality: He is a Mortician first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
