History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Guard. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Guard for the past few years.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
