History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Arannis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Painter, but he got bored and became a Butcher. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His first spouse was a Glassblower, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Description: He appears as an extremely gaunt Tiefling, and stands approximately 5'8". He dresses well, typically a more casual-formal manner, and his gloved hand is found clutching a kukri. He keeps his red hair in a pixie cut. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are gold.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and to settle down with his crush
