History: He was born into a rich family. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Zedaar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and many dire rats want him driven away
