History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. Through the years after Darrow was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Darrow's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and to find somewhere to settle down

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
