History: Bathin hails from a village terrorized by goblins. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
