However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was born in the west. He found a children's book about a Tabaxi Warlock who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Spear alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
