When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He's also a talented Knight, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: Astar wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Monk, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
