History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting gnolls, the young Bernard began to lead the lost caravan. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.

He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Adrex was raised in a hard working conservative environment. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He became a Sailor soon after.
