A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. Being a Dilettante kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Erdan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.
