Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Veit grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Veit. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: Born to a Roofer, his father struggled to pay the bills. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Unemployed work with an outfit from a few towns over. Unemployed work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 3 years.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At some point he was captured by dire rats and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Fletcher.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Halfling artifacts is his passion; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
