History: Born in the east to a Shepherd, Nelkin learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Through the years after Nelkin was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Nelkin's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He struck the Shepherd job and began his own company from there.

History: Born to a Bellfounder, his father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Fletcher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and to find somewhere to settle down
