Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. Oppleby enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born to a Navigator, his mother struggled to pay the bills. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off his debts

Description: This late middle aged man wears a robe, a symbol of death around his neck, and a bastard sword on his belt and is in decent physical shape. His gold crest is greasy and uncared for. His eyes are gold and catlike.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Kerkad was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Kerkad's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Kerkad and his spouse have recently divorced.

Description: This fat northern man has a bulbous nose and is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His chestnut hair and beard is wavy and long. His green eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Varis was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Varis decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.
