He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. After a long history of fighting, Grom and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Shadow abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and to reunite with his old friends

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Being a Courier kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Gorgûm hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
