History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Ethereal was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Orc companion (his 'brother'). He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
