His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dragonborns in the south were limited. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
