Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. After a long history of fighting, Zedaar and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Tailor and was forced into it by his family.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.
