History: He was born in the west. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Alston fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Theren grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Theren. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
