History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Alston grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Alston was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Alston decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: A deep hatred of goblins; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it
